TCX1000 Programmable ROADM is a colorless, directionless, flex grid-ready reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexer (ROADM) that scales up to 25.6 terabits per second per line, providing long-term investment protection and supporting a diverse range of packet optical network use cases.
Designed from the ground up as an open platform, TCX1000 Programmable ROADM disaggregates the line system from the optical transponder layer, freeing you to select and deploy Juniper or third-party transponders that best fit your network needs and budget.
Unique to Juniper, TCX1000 Programmable ROADM control software is fully disaggregated from the system hardware, allowing you to modify the control plane with far greater simplicity, flexibility, and service continuity than what is possible with mainstay line systems.
TCX1000 Programmable ROADM works in conjunction with TCX1000 amplifiers and channel mux-demux devices to round out the Programmable Photonic Layer solution. All TCX1000 related hardware is managed by proNX Optical Director, Juniper’s open, microservices-based optical management and control platform.
